On Friday, 26th September, Kampala Hospital convened its quarterly CEO’s Town Hall meeting, bringing together staff from across all departments for a shared reflection on organisational progress and a renewed call to collective action.
The Chief Executive Officer Dr. Peter Kibuuka delivered a comprehensive review of business performance to date, highlighting key achievements as well as areas where further improvement is required. The presentation also outlined the organisation’s strategic priorities for the final quarter of the year, with a focus on strengthening operational efficiency, enhancing service delivery and ensuring clear contribution from every department towards the hospital’s year-end objectives.
“Excellence in patient care is not just our mandate — it is our greatest driver of innovation,” the Dr. Peter Kibuuka emphasized. “When we commit to delivering outstanding care, we are compelled to improve our systems, refine our processes, and adopt smarter technologies. That is how we remain competitive, and it is ultimately how we achieve the financial sustainability we aim for as a business.”
The Services Manager Mr. Mayambala Stephen, presented an update on utility and resource management, sharing data-driven insights that demonstrated significant gains in efficiency. Improved monitoring of power and water usage, as well as stricter adherence to internal control systems, have resulted in measurable reductions in operational expenditure — reinforcing the value of disciplined resource stewardship.
The Town Hall also served as an opportunity to celebrate members of staff who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and performance in their various roles. Colleagues born in September were celebrated, and newly recruited staff members were warmly welcomed to the Kampala Hospital team. These acknowledgements helped reinforce the hospital’s culture of teamwork, belonging and mutual support.
The engagement concluded on a united and optimistic note. Staff expressed appreciation for the leadership guidance shared and reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the hospital’s standards of care and professional excellence as the organisation moves into the final quarter of the year with renewed determination.
